Smith Moore Leatherwood Attorneys Honored as North Carolina 'Super Lawyers'

March 8, 2011

GREENVILLE, S.C., — Twenty-five Smith Moore Leatherwood attorneys have been named by North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine as top attorneys in 2011. Eleven other attorneys have been named as North Carolina Rising Stars of 2011. Less than five percent of lawyers in the state are selected to this exclusive list.

Super Lawyers is an independent lawyer rating service that selects attorneys using a rigorous, multiphase rating process. Through peer nominations, evaluations and third party research, outstanding attorneys are selected within each state. Rising Stars are selected by peer nominations of attorneys age 40 or below with 10 years or less of legal experience.

"We are very proud of our attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition coupled with this professional achievement," said Rob Marcus, chairman of the firm's management committee. "It is great to see so many of our attorneys recognized."
