Clyde Holt has concentrated his practice in government regulation, municipal zoning and environmental law for more than 30 years. He also handles commercial real estate and development projects, and their frequent intersections with municipal law and regulators. Mr. Holt serves as General Counsel to the Centennial Authority, the owner and developer of the RBC Center, a multipurpose arena that hosts the North Carolina State Wolfpack of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League. He also serves as outside counsel to Triangle Transit, the provider of transit planning and services throughout the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill region.
Mr. Holt has long provided counsel to municipalities across the Triangle. He is a former associate city attorney for the City of Raleigh, and has previously chaired the City of Raleigh Civil Service Commission and the Wake County Library Commission, and served on the City of Raleigh Planning Commission, the City of Raleigh's Human Relations Committee and the Triangle Sports Authority. He presently serves as Town Attorney for Knightdale, North Carolina, on the Blue Ribbon Committee planning for the future of Wake County, on the Wake Technical Institution Foundation Board of Directors, and on the Board of Directors of the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association.
