Clint Wimbish is a partner in the patent group and focuses his practice on the procurement of patent rights in the chemical and biochemical fields with special emphasis on inorganic and organic nanomaterials. Mr. Wimbish regularly advises clients on comprehensive United States and international patent portfolio strategies in the fields of nanoligthography, organic and inorganic semiconductor materials, nano-biological materials, organic and inorganic photovoltaic materials and devices, polymeric materials, micro-optics and solid state and transition metal technologies. Mr. Wimbish additionally has significant experience counseling clients regarding the commercialization of various technologies including advisement on freedom to operate and patent invalidity strategies.

Mr. Wimbish has lectured on various intellectual property matters both domestically and internationally and was selected for inclusion in SuperLawyers® Magazine as a North Carolina “Rising Star”, a distinction reserved for the top 2.5% of North Carolina lawyers who are under 40 or in practice for 10 years or less.
