Shaughnessy
Zuiker
Erin Shaughnessy Zuiker is a member of the firm's health care practice in Raleigh. She assists clients with a wide range of issues, including regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, corporate governance matters, risk management, and HIPAA compliance. She has been involved with the representation of hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, medical practices, and other health care providers. She has written on various legal and ethical issues in the area of healthcare, specifically health care reform initiatives and issues regarding genetic testing.
Before pursuing her graduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in both public health and law, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Vanuatu, where she worked in a rural health clinic, assisting the community with a variety of public health initiatives.
